The Rheem 5kW AmbiPower® Split Heat Pump Water Heater is a smart, energy-efficient system suited to homes with narrow or tight installation spaces.
Backed by years of research and development, it features a tank and split heat exchanger unit designed to be mounted on the ground or on a wall to maximise the space available.
Why install the Rheem AmbiPower® 5kW Split Heat Pump?
The Rheem AmbiPower® 5kW Split Heat Pump captures ambient heat from the surrounding air to produce hot water. It features 4.6kW average heating capacity and is available in either a 315L vitreous enamel tank or 325L stainless steel tank.
Here are some key reasons why this water heater is a great choice for your home:
Flexibility of installation: Ideal for homes with limited outdoor space
This system offers flexibility of installation and is a feasible solution if you’re after a renewable water heater but have limited outdoor space.
The tank can be installed up to five metres away from the heat exchanger unit or indoors, i.e. inside a garage. The heat pump module is also mountable up to two metres high on walls, making it ideal for narrow spaces.

Disclaimers:
- Energy savings are based on Australian Government approved TRNSYS simulation modelling using a medium load in Zone 3 and apply when replacing a similar sized storage electric water heater. Any savings will vary depending upon your location, type of water heater being replaced, hot water consumption and fuel tariff.
- The average Coefficient of Performance (COP) value as mentioned was measured under test conditions with an ambient air temperature of 19˚C/15˚C (Dry Bulb/Wet Bulb) over the entire heat-up process, heating of the water from cold to 60˚C during water heater operation and a power supply of 240 V~ 50 Hz. The Heat Pump average heating capacity in Watts and its water heating capacity in Litres / hour were calculated from the results of this test. The heat pump water heater performance tests were conducted under laboratory conditions. Note that the actual COP of the product at any given time will be impacted by several factors, including the ambient and cold-water inlet temperatures at the place of installation and time of day/season of operation.
- The specified temperature range is the operational range of the Heat Pump.
- Warranty Periods: 10 years supply on cylinder, 3 years labour on cylinder, 3 years supply on sealed system including labour, 1 year supply and labour on all other parts. Applies to a single-family domestic dwelling only. Conditions apply. See the Rheem warranty set out in the Owner’s Guide and Installation Instructions or view at rheem.com.au/warranty.
