The Brief
With two adults and up to eight people in the holiday period, this Victorian home needed a hot water upgrade to cater for their needs.
Their gas-boosted solar system (not a Rheem) with a collector on the roof needed to make way for a new solar power system the homeowners wish to install. Also, the tank was corroded after 12 years of service.
The homeowners were interested in a heat pump to provide an efficient supply of hot water for their four-bedroom, two-bathroom home. However, installation space was limited, and a heat pump would have required another 100mm compared to the previous system.
The solution: Rheem Gas 26L Continuous Flow Water Heater
The Hot Water Man recommended and installed Rheem 26L Gas Continuous Flow 50oC model. As the system is mounted to a wall, it provides the homeowners with a clean aesthetic and makes the walkway more accessible.
Also, gas continuous flow provides hot water that never runs out as the system heats on demand. This is ideal for the holiday periods as they have family visit from interstate.
“The customer carefully weighed up the options and decided to go with gas continuous flow. The customer was happy with our recommendation of Rheem,” said Geoff McDonald, Director at The Hot Water Man.
“The reason I recommended Rheem is due to the excellent after sales support. We have a fantastic sales representative, and Rheem have a factory employed service network and local service support. We do give customers other brand options; however, they often go with who we recommend.”

Considering installing a Rheem Gas Continuous Flow?
“The Rheem Gas Continuous Flow systems are our “go to” continuous flow,” said Geoff. “I truly find they are reliable, never give us an ounce of trouble and the smaller 16L and 20L models are equally impressive.
“I put this down to the Rheem product having a full-size heat exchanger, even in the smaller models. This is something some other brands don’t have. They are much easier to commission than opposition products as well.”
